Youth Sports
The goal of our athletics program is to provide an enjoyable experience for each youth participant while developing character, sport-related skills, sportsmanship and promoting goodwill among all teams and individuals. Although sports are competitive by nature, the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department's intentions are to place less emphasis on winning, while promoting the foundation for a lifetime of physical activity and good health for each participant.
Youth Basketball registrations will start Monday, September 4 and run through Sunday, October 8.

Spring Leagues (March - June)

- Seven year old's who have played one year of Tee-Ball for the City of Salem are eligible to move up to Coach Pitch.

- All equipment must be returned immediately following the conclusion of league play. Participants will be billed for any unreturned equipment.
